Actually yes I am! I have suffered with OCD for over 20 years. There are many, many different strands of OCD but my particular symptoms have nothing to do with cleanliness or hygiene at all.

I just can't take a seller seriously if they can't show me a nicely looked after clean item!

It shows a good degree of sloppiness in my opinion. If the guy can't be arsed to clean it when it's in his own interest to be presenting himself and his goods well, how will he treat a customer with an after sales problem?

    My thoughts exactly.

Whilst we are on this subject I also never buy gear that is photographed outside. It just doesnt feel right to me and why run the risk of giving the item a knock?? With a very small amount of creativity and a half-decent camera you will get much better results inside.

Don't know about you julian but when i see photos of used records on auction, with the record out of it's sleeve on the carpet i pass straight away, no matter how carefully he may have placed it there.
