If they're anything like the TLS50 they will be bloody amazing on the end of a powerful amp.

From experience you have to be careful with the crossovers, they are perfectly balanced in stock form. I spent £200 on top notch technically superior parts & it ruined the sound

There is a pair of them in my father in laws garage. I gave him them years ago for helping me build our house. Never had the courage to ask for them back.
Just sitting there covered in a bit of sack cloth......

These are nice, AR4-XA speakers in Oxfordshire. Good little speakers from about 1972, they sound lovely on the end of a valve amp. Cloth roll surrounds that never rot too. Badges missing.

I couldn't possibly guess what I've heard. I've owned hundreds of pairs at least and that's not including the ones I've built for myself and other people (at least 50 pairs). And as for amps and TTs, etc., the same applies. I seriously doubt if there are many people outside of trade circles who've had so much gear through their hands.

Here's a little list of the speaker makes I can remember owning offhand (there'll be more).

Tannoy (obviously), KEF, Videoton, EMI, Sonab, AR, Wharfedale, Lowther, Proac, Cura, Tandberg, Celef, Technics, Goodmans, B&W, Studiocraft, Dynaudio, Mordaunt Short, Celestion, JPI, Mission, Bose, Sony, B&O, Monitor Audio, Phillips, Quad, Eagle, Magnat, Rogers, IMF.

And that lot is just for starters, I expect more will come to mind.
