Would like to thank Jerry (Jandl100) for the DVD he sold me.

Was only advised of the cost of postage after the item was sent. Now that's what I call trust!

    Thanks Jerry.

Just checked out the Technics Sl1200 I bought from Roy S - bombproof packaging, deck is like new and in perfect working order. Many thanks Roy, you obviously went to a lot of trouble to pack it securely - and thanks for the Stanton cart - didn't realise you were chucking that in too!

I finally got around to replacing the Gator board in the Caiman with the standard fit board kindly donated to me by Bernie (Canetoad) and as I suspected, it was the Gator that was responsible for the distortion I was experiencing and the Caiman now sounds better than ever. Bernie did mention that he had updated the caps on his board so the performance improvement may be due to this. More importantly however the Caiman now sails through Elbow's, Seldom Seen Kid without a hint of complaint. Thank you Bernie, you are a true Gent...

I'd also like to thank Dan (Hifilover) for the DVD's. Cheers dude

Glad you could use it. It was sitting in the cupboard at my place.

You're very welcome Mart, Stanton's only got a few hours on it. Selling another in similar nick if anyone's interested?

A big thanks go to Martin (Horace) who came to Rexton towers to buy my Quad 77 setup. We had a good hour listening to Quad ESL 57's and war of the worlds. Nice bloke who has an invite to listen to my 1210 when it comes back from the Docs (Paul Hynes). i can heartily recommend Martin to others, he's an honest bloke with a real passion for analouge. Thanks mate (I'll give you first dibs on the cables when I'm ready for selling)

Many thanks Andy - really good to meet you.

As Andy says, I travelled to sunny Wakefield to buy his Quad 77 system. We spent some time listening to his system(s) and chatting about this and that. Having heard Andy's rather special OTA ESLs, I rather fancy a pair myself...
Anyway, Andy is a top bloke and it was a pleasure doing business with him.

    Cheers

    Martin

PS - yes please re the cables!
