Let The Right One In [dvd]
A slow burning, mesmerising, wonderfully performed and chilling love story. Boy-meets-vampire. If you like good Scandinavian drama (The Bridge, the original Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Wallander) then you'll love this. I haven't enjoyed a film as much as this one for a long time.

One of the most harrowing films I have seen in quite awhile because it is so subtle in how things are portrayed - such terrible horrors being seen through the eyes of a child. It could be said that the camp commandant gets his just deserts in what happens but Bruno is such a lovely innocent, caring child............ I take my hat off to the writer of this book for such a kick to the guts ending.
