...unfortunately connected via the most horrid of horrid things ever invented for audio: spring-clip terminals!

That's the problem with vintage receivers like the Sansui, above, (as undoubtedly gorgeous as they are), the piss-poor connectors and captive piece of wet string, known as a 'mains lead'

Still, it's nothing that couldn't be fixed!

Well, bought by Emporium Hifi (emporiumshed on eBay) for £150 for re-sale I bet to double their money! Said it was a good one.. Just checked Goofbay.com bid checker and found it in their bid on items (there was only one bid).

Really it is only forum sales that are slow.. forum users are only a small proportion of vinyl lovers and even then only a small fraction of that actually go on regularly and check classifieds. Most people just use eBay, sadly...

CD player for the price of a CD... needed something with a remote, and local pick up - this'll do the trick to go in the summerhouse system.

Something for you Sondex fans! Is that only Beobloke/Adam?

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sondex-S23...-/261071862499

I bet that's a great little integrated. The phono stage I had was great and very well made, all discrete etc so I'd have thought this is in a similar vein (has a phono stage by the looks of it unless just an input for a phono stage).

The 'Crossover' blanked out connection might have been an interesting idea! I wonder if Sondex made an active system with seperate crossover boxes..?

Count me in, too! It was my first 'serious' amplifier, and you're right, the phono stage is fab - most certainly a serious bargain

Cracking little amp but he's being a bit optimistic on the pricing - I only paid half that for mine, also on eBay.
