I don't know the BM but most kit I've seen optimized to be used with batteries don't require as much warm up to perform its best

It is a very broad statement. Some equipment need to be warmed up, whilst others perform worse when they get too warm.

Hi Martin,
Will be interesting to compare notes at the end of both our experiments.
Because I'm using a specialist lipo charger, it can tell me exactly how much charge is put back in when recharging it back up.
I suppose that the current draw is the same whether it is playing music or sitting idle?
Do you leave yours on all the time Martin?
