Sony PCM 1630 Digital Processor (A/D D/A)

A lot of Windham Hill records from the 80s were recorded with one of these (I guess to digital tape?).

Wonder what the D/A section of one of these would sound like Lampizated.. £99 finds out - don't imagine there will be other bids.

Ebay are to increase their final value fee cap to £75 !

We’d like to clarify some confusion relating to the announcement below:

This update only applies to Private Sellers, Business Seller fees remain unchanged.
The change means that from 10 July 2012 Final Value fees for private sellers will capped at a maximum of £75. This means that should you sell an item for under £750 (as a final price) your final value fee will be 10% of that sale price. If your item sells for over £750 you will be charged a maximum final value fee of £75
This change only refers to the final value fee imposed after an item is sold. Listing fees remain unchanged.
This change does not apply to motors listings, property or classifieds.

Its getting more and more expensive to sell on ebay unless you're a business seller - their aim (as had been announce many times at various AGMs I've seen quotes from over the years) is to turn it into a massive online mall with only businesses on there. Private sellers are just too much hassle!

Best thing perhaps to do is completely over price your item and encourage contact - i.e. use eBay as an advertising venue and conduct business outside of it.

Ive often bought things outside of eBay after missing a listing or one has ended prematurely - either the winning bidder didn't finalise or they ended because the item wasn't working properly.

Don't think they will give anyone your email,when i bought my Keces Dac i had to talk to him via pm's on head-fi to upgrade the mains socket.
