    Not heard that one Mike but you could ask Alex UK he has a Sony 'TA-F4A' which is a tad earlier..

    Nice amp and not one IC in sight, all transistor with a nice differential driver pair in each channel. Made in Taiwan for Sony back in 1977/78

    I'm always looking for bargain amps on eBay and I never come across anything this good, especially not for £16 - I must be doing something wrong.

    Andr'e, have you ever heard any vintage Pioneer speakers? I've heard a couple of models that are really impressive when well driven. Just a thought if you want to go down that route.
