They probaly were the best selling studio monitor. Many are still in use today.

I'd say about £1.5k is the right ballpark

[QUOTE=bogle111;298347]The only trouble with JBL is their illogical numbering system. Never did learn it. L200A, L200B all about x'overs and cabinets I believe. Mirror image cabinets? - the only L200 models I remember had 2 units: horn above the bass unit. Only ever saw one pair of Jubals for sale in Germany a long time ago, for about £1400 equiv. too much, too far then.

L200's were the domestic equivalent of the 4325 and used the 2420 compression drive and LE15B bass units, and there lies the problem. The LE15a or 2215 (its pro designation) is a fantastic speaker. The LE15B is not and produces a boomy fat bass. Apparently the L200 was designed for rich corporate types who wanted studio monitors in their home. The JBL enginers / marketing men decided that these buyers would prefer a fatter base.

I had a pair (later verions with a better looking grillcloth) along with the 4333b's and the L200 were much improved by substituting the LE15B for a 2235 and suitable crossover. I also added 2405 slot tweeters with an N8000 crossover. Ultimately they were very close to the 4333B and INHO better looking.

I also had another pair plus a single of large JBL studio monitors at the same time as the others. These all went when I got my Array 1400's

Well it went for £1,195. Some what higher than 'my' £205, but a reasonable price nonetheless.

I saw those & thought about putting a note up here about them, but then I thought no-one would have heard of them. Hah! - I obviously forgot you, didn't I?
