Obviously awarding a piece of gear as a prize would be pretty pointless. Unless, perhaps, someone has an old Sanyo boombox buried in the closet.

I've heard so many (especially manufacturers) say, "that's impossible". In reality, it's improbable, not impossible. The improbable doesn't matter to some folks. This work is a testimony to that.

Have just come to this thread as "thread of the year".

I am absolutely speechless with wonder and amazement. . I can only imagine how your kit sounds, Erik, but can see how beautiful it is - built with a craftsmanship very rarely seen. This is truly outstanding!

Sorry that I am not keeping up-to-date but I am busy building and listening..

In the mean time I have received my AudioNote Silver Interstages (7 months waiting) and the copper in oil caps for my 2 dac chips.

No need to say that there was a substantial improvement

At the moment I am busy testing with a Tube- rectification and stabelisation in my pre amp ARC ESP-6 RE.

For what it is worth I had a private shootout with a audiobuddy with a respected Kondo M7 and in the end it was a draw...maybe it gives you a bit of an idea.

I got inspired by Kondo so I am triggered again....this time to listen to tube rectification....first impression is a go ahead. Keep you informed
