My intention with this design is really to offer what people are personally convinced they want. If they intend to use the platter without a mat then a label recess would be required. Even with the thin, soft flexible mat shown a recess would be required.Originally Posted by Marco

I mentioned what I did only because it appeared that Mike's original intention was for the platter to be used 'as is', in which case a label recess would be mandatory
