Hey Dave,

Knock out build, just found a copy of Greendale on vinyl after a year of trying to find it at the right price-you mentioned an early memory of Klipsch khorns well i am using Belles-great speakers but your thread has inspired me to interpret the plans which i have been doing for the last 2 days to incorporate 18 and 24" marine birch- on the Serbian plans part w seems to not join the back but your part w seems to-iI asume part w does join the back.

What drivers and cross overs did you fit at the end? HPD 385's?

Don't know how the comparison with the Belles will unfold, I don't think you will be disappointed.
The Panel W does join the back as you will see in my photos. I did wonder about this.......and you will find there are a few times you will puzzle over the plans.
But it seems obvious that the Panel W must seal with the Rear Panel E when the back is attached.
The Xovers are the originals that came with HPD 385A's, however the wire is QED Silver Anniversary all the way to the drivers and the caps and resistors are all new.
Please post if you have any more hiccups. The plans are by no means complete. I was also puzzled by the need for Panel O and the extra panels(triangle shaped panels) to seal this from the chamber. If you go to Serbian Post No.41 you will find the explanation how W fits.

I am also having problems with parts o- there are no measurements to attatch them to part h so they will have to be attatched while building to locate them correctly. I was thinking about the closing in behind parts o and will do some drawings today to see if it is possible to move parts o up to form a natural channel to part f or move part f down to join o rather than make those odd shaped pieces to close the gaps-i think the triangle are neccesary for the back of parts o.
May be another solution would be to angle parts f to allow o to follow into the channel at a natural angle.

The other part is the opening in h as i would prefer a symetrical curvature into the driver so I can't see the problem in making the 722 measurement smaller so that the curves above and below the driver are the same.

Hmmm, so making the appature in part h (front) smaller for symetrical curves into the driver was not giving the right look-I want both curves to be the same but bigger than the top one.

What I need to get hold of is an original measurement from a Westminster of the distance between edge of drive unit to top of curve at the front of the speaker cabinet as you look at it.

Anyone got some original Westminsters?

Patience, yes you need a little, money, not much......when you hear the result, it's peanuts, skill, if you can feed yourself you will accomplish it. Go for it. I would like to see a resurgence in the use of these magnificent speakers, to hell with the size.

Nice one, David. However, I love Nelson Pass designs, and those monoblocks have a beautifully understated visual appeal that I simply love!
