Default Harbeth Xpression! DPM1 ProActive speakers

I've just bagged myself a pair of Harbeth active studio monitors off fleabay.

Just wondered if anyone here has any experience of using them?

I'll be putting them in a revamped "office" system. Nice little speakers for the computers, a Squeezebox (soon to have a Metrum NOS Octave DAC hanging off it), and a Vantage Audio modded Technics SL-QL1 - the the Jico SAS stylus for which is currently in transit.

So that's my Christmas sorted! . Better think about SWMBO and the kids now, I suppose.

The ones with purple drivers from memory? Not heard them, but they're Harbeths - I doubt you'll be disappointed! Nice "rig" there Bob.

I think the HHB ones have upgraded amp packs, but stretching my memory now, as it has been a while since I was "into" pro-audio.

I think they were made exclusively for HHB weren't they? A good few years before their time I think and the main domestic audio market still isn't quite ready yet.

    Hope they're good for you
I can't go on and I can't go back, I don't feel so matter of fact,
I tried and tried to make good sense, What's the good to try it all again?

Yes, after a time selling the DPM's Harbeth then made them exclusively for HHB as the Circle 5, with a more powerful amp and HHB's purple branding. My drivers are a much more classy shade of deep blue . There was also a smaller Circle 3, and passive versions as well.

    I'm hoping for good things!
