Well the Mike New platter is about the two metals bonded together to damp the aluminium platter & it appears to do what it says on the tin

Lead would be at least as effective as annealed copper (I'd have thought) as it doesn't need annealing to soften it.

I have a fair sized roll of lead that will be used in speakers, if there is some left over i might have a play with a lead mat at some stage

The bloke with 20 feedbacks really wants them. Have they never heard of sniping?

My thoughts precisely, I always sniped from day one on ebay

Difference is i do it myself & pay straight away if i win, i refuse to use software.

That or he was new to fleabay & hadn't considered the possibility of sniping, or he was daft

I can see you support the underdog here Mark, actually i'm with you on that one... You do need to be clever though to get stuff at the price you want, clever or patient

I remember getting beat by snipers, I learnt quickly though.

I have 2 snipes waiting now. Put a value I'd be happy paying and won't be gutted if I lose out.

I always put my first and only bid in with 10 seconds to go. I thought that's what everyone did...?
