This film is a cult classic. It has many faults and the look of something that was hurriedly edited, but it's a Michael Mann film, and therefore something of interest. He is up there with Ridley Scott and Stanley Kubrick, in my estimation, for his cinematic vision. The soundtrack is by Tangerine Dream, the other good reason for watching it.

It's set in Romania during the second world war, where German soldiers move in to a mysterious Keep as a base for their operations, a move that they will come to regret. Something is in there, and it's not nice....

I'm pretty sure Andr'e, though i'm not 100% on it. If it wasn't Mcclure then it was his twin, though i could be wrong...

I have a feeling it was broadcast somewhere about the 80s, i can't make my mind up if it was 82 or earlier, or later? I moved to where i am now in 82 so have a feeling it was even earlier than that though my memory is pretty fcuked

    I'm sure i was a kid, so pre 82 i reckon

I have been known to be a country mile out previously though Fcuk

All good mind-fcuks. What about The Ring, Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity and Dark Water? All good if you're in a receptive mood (translates: you'll sleep under the blankets that night ).

I doubt it's pre '82. Films he strarred in from the mid '70's to early 80's were sci-fi fantasy:' 'The People That Time Forgot', 'At the Earth's Core', 'Humanoids from the Deep' & all that.. there was one in the mid 80's but i forget what that was called, something to do with money! thats the one with Scheider in it.
