I don't know if they are right or not but personally I have found that cleaning new records often does give an improvement.

Lol! Well if it's not MRA, then it's something else, as IMO, there is definitely some sort of 'film' left on the surface of new records after the manufacturing process, which is detrimental to playback quality - and this is removed by thorough cleaning on an RCM.It appears so Marco

It's probably a good idea to clean all new LPs using an RCM, if only to remove the excessive amount of mould-releasing agent used these days.
As to the regular use of a record cleaning brush, I swear by my Decca carbon-fibre record brush. It's still available on eBay and only costs < £10. I believe the latest versions have a dual row of Kevlar and carbon fibre bristles. I have one of these as a 'spare', but find the all carbon-fibre version works well for me.
One thing though - for maximum effect, one should touch the earthed metal deck with one's left hand whilst 'wiping' the disc with the record brush held in one's right (or vice versa, if left handed). Otherwise you will simply make matters worse by 'charging up' the vinyl record.

That reference that's linked to talks about spraying MRA onto the stampers before each disc is pressed, and the improbability of this but no thought has been given to the possibility that the vinyl mixture itself may contain the evil substance.
Call it what you want, but all I know is that some new records almost repel water just like they are coated with a waxy or oil based substance and the RCM stops this happening when the fluid has a reasonable amount of wetting agent added to it. And, most importantly, they sound better after the fact.
