Don't panic, Barry - the Spendors are back in their rightful place!

The RAMs were acquired for the Cheap As Chips Challenge and to "scratch an itch" - so today was only a temporary substitution for the SP1s unless something dramatic happened to my ears... it didn't, but still too early for any firm conclusions on the RAMs - but they're certainly goodies! They excel at Rock (type) music, so I can sort of see why Andre preferred them over the Spendors, but for my favoured type of music (chilled electronica, female vocals and acoustic) the Spendors have the edge, I think.

They just need to be twice the size with a nice flapping baffle & they'll kick some proverbial

They already have a flappy baffle Mark, but yes, size x2 would be good!

You are 100% correct Alex, just checked up on the web & indeed they do have an ABR or as Dave would say a "flapping baffle"

No need to increase the size of them then...

Wot - you didn't trust me!

They certainly do bass well - they do everything well - maybe not quite as sweet in the midrange as the Spendors, but they're definitely from the "proper" school of speakers...
