    Man those pesky kids!!!!!!!

Been there with my quadII's and both of my children being toddlers! One thing was for sure, as tempting as the glowing was, it was also hot. They didn't take long to learn to give them a wide berth. We all survived ok, no burnt fingers and no broken equipment They are much older now and so I no longer have the same issue. One thing is for sure, as much as you want them to grow up, those early days when they are young and innocent are awesome.

Soon enough you'll be able to have the new speakers on permanent display. Enjoy ;-)

Picking up the Spendors tomorrow, must say I am quite excited, but a bit apprehensive at the same time - never bought anything for my main system without auditioning them first, so this could go horribly wrong! I doubt it, though, based on the research I've done and advice sought. If it all goes t!ts up then expect a "Private Exhibitions" thread imminently, though I'm hopeful not!

    Full report to follow.

Cheers dude - I guess being introduced in '83 they were at least 10 years too late anyway!

In theory, they should be right up my alley, but only time will tell. All good fun though, whatever the outcome.

Easy fella, I had a gold Cortina. Granted, it was much too modern (a MK IV) but I don't think I've enjoyed any car as much since! BTW, all the Custard Creams have gone, hope you're ok with Jammie Dodgers?

    Cheers Marco.

They come with the standard Spendor ones, although the previous (original) owner has removed the castors and modified them for spikes instead. I've won a pair of 16" target stands for 99p off ebay, which might be a little bit too tall, but if I get on with the speakers I will probably get a set of Something Solid open frame jobbies.
