Still one of the best looking decks ever ' and best sounding in my view

I agree Chris. All the Voyds on the day sounded great & I will buy one at some point.

They have DD pitch stability but manage to convey emotion better, IMO belt drive do, well good ones that is!

I like the 3 motor Voyd sound wise but always feel they look a bit over proportioned hence i will alway prefer the look of the smaller 'Valdi'

Well, looks like a good time was had by all, which is what the Scalford Show is all about, Also it gives people the chance to meet up and put faces to the members who contribute to the main UK Audio forums etc. I am really sorry I couldn’t attend this year as not been very well lately, Really glad to hear that the AOS room was well received etc.
So a big up to Marco and the rest of the guys [Nick John etc] for their efforts, hopefully I will be there for the next one.
Last but not least a big thank you to people like Alfie etc for taking such great picks of the show and for sharing them with those of us who couldn’t attend for various reasons, much appreciated.

Agreed Andre but the classic AI, Snell, Voyd system still holds up well today. I regret selling my Valdi but still have the AI Series 500 amplifier.

Both the Voyd, AI, Snell systems sounded fantastic to my ears! I did prefer the Snell Type E/II over the smaller Type K for shear scale but could happily live with either! The sound they were making would of meant that it would be on & playing 24/7!

Several Snells at the show. All sounding great which proves oldies can be goodies! Almost regretted selling my 3s!
But good to see/hear the Leak 3075s! Those, and the 57s were nicest?
Non-aggressive sound unlike some rooms,i thought.
Though I realised I'd missed the Apogees in the labyrinth!


I still liked my own system when I got home, which was nice!

Did you get a chance to listen to the AoS system? If so, you're feedback, positive or negative, would be appreciated

I also thought Rabski's 57s, with supertweeters, sounded rather good
