    Speakers &/or Room share - needed!!

    Sadly, due to family health issues, Steve / twelvebears is unable to attend the Show.

    "The Plan" had been for me to share an exhibition room with him, with Steve supplying his Wilson Benesch ACT speakers and NAD M2 amp.

    So - I am without a swishy pair of speakers for my dem room.
    I now intend to bring along my standmount Usher X-719 speakers .... but something even more interesting would be most welcome!

    Would anyone care to loan me some interesting speakers for all or part of the day? Or even do a room-share with me? - you supply some interesting speakers, I can happily supply Wadia cdp, UR Unico amp and Pioneer/Dynavector tt setup. Or you can bring along more of your kit to show off!

    If someone wants to room-share, I am sure we can both have time off to explore the Show, while the other is looking after the room!

    The room is Syndicate 20 on the 2nd floor. Nice room, actually - Roy / oldfogey and I were in there last year.

    Turntable: Heavily-modified Technics SL-1210MK5G [Mike New bearing/ETP platter/Paul Hynes SR7 PSU & regulator mods]. Funk Firm APM Achromat with Nagaoka GL-601 Crystal Record Weight. Isonoe feet & boots. Ortofon RS-212D tonearm with Denon DL-103GL, in a Denon PCL-300 headshell, fitted with Funk Firm Houdini and Kondo SL-115 pure-silver cartridge leads.

    Paul Hynes MC head amp/SR5 PSU. Also modded Lentek head amp and Denon AU-310 SUT.

    Other Cartridges: Nippon Columbia (NOS 1987) Denon DL-103. USA-made Shure SC35C with NOS stylus. Goldring G820 with NOS stylus. Shure M55E with NOS stylus.

    CD Player: Audiocom-modified Sony X-777ES/DAS-R1 DAC.

    Tape Deck: Tandberg TCD 310, fully restored and recalibrated as new by RDE, plus upgraded with heads from the TCD-420a. Also with matching TM4 Norway microphones.

    Preamps: Heavily-modified Croft Charisma-X. Power Amps: Tube Distinctions Copper Amp, fitted with Tungsol KT-150s. Quad 306.

    Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.

    Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.

    Speakers: Tannoy 15MGs in Lockwood cabinets with modified crossovers. 1967 Celestion Ditton 15.

    I might be able to offer some Celestion 44s. Need to check them out. Will post tomorrow night if they still live! Cabinets are MINT.

    But only if it's easy for you to bring them .... some other kind forum members have also offered speakers - but I'd love to add the C44's to the roster! .... but not essential anymore.

    What with Marco's 66's as well this could turn into Celest Fest! (Not complaining, it would be great to hear the two different sets of Dittons and see how the implementation in each system differs.)

    I already have been offered some Jim Rogers JR150 and (this will make Marco chortle ) some Tannoy 12" Monitor Golds in Lancaster cabs!

    Mine should be a great room for vintage Brit speakers!!

    Are 44s smaller or bigger than 66s?
