No, pretty sure it was Stamford Music Shop, on the hill up towards town from the river, with The George Hotel. They sold LP's in the front and instruments I think in the back, never really got past the front section and the two 'very helpful' girls, Christine & Mandy..... was it the music I was going in for, or them?

All my hard earned cash went in there...... we are going back to the mid 70's mind you.

It's open to the public http://www.thehifishow.com/ unless you're asking if there's still room in one of the booked AoS rooms.

On the show website linked above there's interactive floor plans that are very good. They list who's exhibiting & a little info on their system just mouse over the room!

There's some great prizes in the raffle! For just £1 a ticket you could walk away with an whole system! (All the prizes are donated & most being 2nd hand but some very nice stuff)

I'll be there helping out in the Somerby room when needed, but mostly checking out all the systems, well as many as I can almost 50 this year!

This is a great show! Alot better than the industry ones IMO & If you can make it you really should! The last two years have been superb & I think this year will build on this & be even better!

Could I also take this opportunity to ask everyone attending the show, and planning to come to our room, to bring some CDs with them (of music they're familiar with)?

We'll have plenty of stuff of our own, but it's always best to judge things with your own music. Whatever it is, no matter how bizarre or obscure, we want to hear YOUR fav choons! Discovering interesting new music is part of the exercise.

And if anyone doesn't like the music we're playing, or it's too loud (or not loud enough!) please speak to a member of the AoS team (Nick, John or myself - we'll have badges on) and ask us to turn it up or down a bit, or play one of your CDs instead. Don't feel awkward about asking, as we're there to please!

No excuses will be accepted this time for music being "too loud" or not to your taste - so speak up or forever hold your peace

Anyway, the show is not just about us having a good time, but also YOU. We're there to entertain people attending the show, as well as enjoying ourselves, so don't be shy to make any requests or suggestions, h'okay-dokes?

This also applies to non-AOS members attending who may be reading this thread. Everyone will be made most welcome in our room.
