Only other option Andre if you don't want to stay Saturday is I can pick you up from Peterborough station on the Sunday. And yes, +1 to the nutter comment! Marco must have the most expensive collection ever of Celestion speakers, and he only has 2 pairs!

*But* we needed a pair of speakers for the show, as I ain't taking the Lockwoods again, and I don't think stand-mounts (either my Ditton 15XRs or Anthony's SP1s) would cut it in the size of the room we've been allocated.

I heard the 66s on Friday night through a Technics separates system, and was utterly gobsmacked, so God knows how they'll sound on the end of the copper amp, etc......

Trust me, when people at Scalford hear what these babies sound like on the end of our system, the cost will be entirely justified!

I'll be creating a separate thread in Past Masters, shortly, on my purchase of the Celestions

I am staying at the first one following but I believe took the last room. I was also suggested another B+B on a farm that might have a room and is the last listed. If not try a wider area and see if anyone is willing to be taxi Sunday morning.

Andre, if Anthony and/or Ian Walker can't make the show (and there's a chance this may happen), you're welcome to sleep in one of the rooms at Scalford Hall we've booked...

As long as you come and help us set-up the system!

At the moment we've got two rooms booked with twin occupancy (single beds, don't worry ) and so far only Beechy and me are guaranteed to be using them.

We won't know if Anthony's going to make it or not until the last minute, but I'll find out from Ian tomorrow if he's going or not. If not, you're welcome to take his place.

I have a tutorial on the Saturday in Ipswich and I'm not sure about the Sunday, despite wonderful offers of a lift.....

I'd LOVE to hear Ditton 66's again though. I adored them at the time and remember doing up some of the replacements 662 and also some 552's from memory - we took the last two super-tweeters that Celestion had for them. A wonderful bridge between older beef boxes and modern squeakers. SOME Celestions from more modern production are really good too - DL8's and the A series from memory

Marco, please don't go for deafening levels with the 66's. They were designed for quality domestic use, rather than PA levels and you'll have a major problem if any old drivers get fatigued, as well they might...
