    Thing is nowadays mate we have the ole interweb thingy, even if you know absolutly sod all about anything, you can quickly learn from sites like this and many others, folks today don't have to go to car boot sales or the like, ebay brings it to ya door.

    It does tee me off though when i see piles of crap hitting huge prices, i saw a Cambridge Audio Amp sell a few months back, it was second hand and went for more than you could get it new from the shops.

    im not that skint David ... i can still afford the odd little treat for my self ... just need to save the big monies for the big event in 4 months and 3 weeks

    as for being busy ... nah, got loads of free time on my hands today ... i thought id spend it lazing about doing sod all work hopefully annoying clients ... (as if - loads of stuff to do today ...)

    i went to the little boys room about an hour ago and had a missed call, very annoying, I though it may have been you mate but no cos you were busy
    grabbing a bargain it seems...ho.ho.ho

    e-bay is addictive but I personally hate it, a necessary evil I keep telling myself.

    Preamps: Heavily-modified Croft Charisma-X. Power Amps: Tube Distinctions Copper Amp, fitted with Tungsol KT-150s. Quad 306.

    Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.

    Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.

    Speakers: Tannoy 15MGs in Lockwood cabinets with modified crossovers. 1967 Celestion Ditton 15.
