Aye, but will it be a bargain![]()
With 13 bids already and 8 days to go, possibly not. Be interesting to see what it does go to though.
I have purchased stuff from that seller (on fleabay) a couple of times & been very happy with the service & productDon't be surprised to see a crazy price, though what that is i have no idea

Goodman's 'Achromat Beta' Speeka's
A chap on the Isle of Wight was recently selling a complete set of Achromat Kappas, Betas and Sigmas. I was tempted.....
Excellent speakers though most of them are, most of the old Goodmans models (apart from the original Maxims) fetch very little money, which I have never understood.

On balance I like Ebay more than not but I've got one major gripe.
If you come "second" in a bid and the highest bidder doesn't work out - say doesn't pay the seller, or didn't comply with the seller's terms or whatever - you get the option to buy...at your highest bid. Surely you should get the option to buy at one incremental step above the highest bid of the bidder who was "third", which may not necessarily be your highest bid ?
Otherwise, your outlay is being inflated by a bid that proved to be illegitimate. Shill bidding (an obviously illegitimate practice) is outlawed for inflating prices, so why not this ?
I know, I should really be on Ebay talking about this, just that it happened on a piece of hi-fi and it's still miffing me...

Not laughing at you or what you said, but about the fact that in a way you are dead right & why didn't i ever think of that
Yes, it's a way of getting more money out of youPlease remember though that 1. You don't have to accept it & 2. You were willing to pay that much previously or you wouldn't have bid that amount...
In the interests of the bidder though i agree with you 100% that the amount should be 1 bid above bidder 3 & not what your high bid was![]()
