It's sunny but chilly (max 13C). No sign of rain - we had enough of that yesterday. Strong gusty wind (around 15mph); but that won't stop us going out to lunch.

Just back from another power cut, wasn’t too bad for me as I was out in the fields but two disgruntled teenagers when I got back!
Saw a couple of trees down on my route, the farmer is pretty good and I am sure they will be gone for firewood very soon. Wind has dropped considerably, Syd all washed and conked on the sofa, dreaming of chasing leaves, no doubt!

There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing and be nothing Aristotle
Went out earlier, it's blustery but nothing like what you've had down there.
Lots of people about despite the conditions and it being a Sunday.

TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC-15.
There are plenty of live streaming weather web-cams around. I often look at the one at Porthleven, Cornwall, near The Lizard. I know this spot very well. It's a good guide as to what weather is heading our way, as most of the dodgy stuff seems to come from the south west.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I'm Dave.
The very strong winds have now subsided - and it is a bit quieter now.
I'll go to check the trees tomorrow. Some bits came off, and there were some guys out with chain saws, but I don't think that huge branches came down. With two massive oak trees at the bottom of our garden there was no way I wanted to go near them. A few years ago some "small" branches came down, and there was no way that I could lift them. Last year someone came and cut another one or two smallish branches into logs, and I have some put aside for burning later on. Some of the branches are larger, and if they ever come done of their own accord anyone underneath wouldn't stand a chance.

No, it's my lap top being a knob head, taking ages for a page to load. So I clicked on it again, and next news I had a duplicated post. I'm wondering if it is an AoS thing, there's been problems off and on for a few days now. Nothing like this with my other online activity![]()
