I need to give Ensoulment another go, love the early stuff but never really persevered with that one.

Only took me 38 years to discover this album...

Steve Earle - Copperhead Road (1988)

I think that's probably because it's only recently I've been able to listen to anything remotely Country or Americana, so this one and many like it passed me by, now I listen to loads of it!

Snap! I pulled this one off the shelf, but then spotted this Davidge album next to it. Think I'll stick it on next.

As you probably know, Neil Davidge is a long time collaborator with massive Attack (from Mezzanine onwards). And it sounds like it. If you like Massive Attack (course you do) then this one is worth checking out. A bit Portisheady too.

Oooh, I don't think I know Davidge, does sound right up my alley, though... Right after I have finished this one - celebrating 45 years since it was released today...

I sent you a copy couple of years ago, don't tell me you've lost it already

Top poppity pop picking right there. One of the best albums of the 80's, for sure.

I could say that is damming with faint praise - the '80s were a pretty dire decade for pop music. Just my humble opinion.
