I know how you feel. Way back in the summer of 1989 a friend of mine and I had to queue for at least an hour to get in to the Grand Palais (or it might have been the Petit Palais) in Paris to view the Gauguin exhibition. Fortunately there was a a van selling cold drinks parked nearby, so one of us would toddle off to buy drinks, whilst the other would keep our place in the queue.
