Crap weather for August 2026

We were at Disneyland Paris today, the non-eclipse was the best part of the day from mine and Will’s view! (Actually that’s not true, the Star Tours “4D” film/ride was pretty cool.) Weather was up to the expected billing, got to 35c. 38c predicted tomorrow and Friday, then cools down to 29c with a chance of drizzle in the morning on Saturday. Hoping to do a few local things then, back to do the other part of Disney tomorrow and Paris central on Friday - both in the heat!

Last time we were in Paris we did this mini cruise down the Seine. Only takes about an hour, and pretty cheap (for Paris).

Last time we were in Paris we did this mini cruise down the Seine. Only takes about an hour, and pretty cheap (for Paris).

23C now looking to reach 34C. Quite a bit of hazy cloud.

23.7C in room. Humidity 54% but I do have all the windows open. Going to nip round to the Sainsbury before the temperature goes up any more I think.

If our bus companies took a leaf out of their book, and brought back clippies to do the heavy lifting, maybe our public transport wouldn't be on its arse.

Great idea except the buses would be packed all the time and just sail past your stop.

Plus all the passengers having to wait about at the turn-around point while the drivers nip off for some 'nookie'.

I suppose the drivers would not be such miserable bastards as a result. It's all swings and roundabouts.

I've taken that Seine cruise, and it is as you say good value for money and, depending on the skill of the guide, very informative. It was long before the advent of PCs and the like, so there was no confusion between the letters at the end of of the first and second rows of the keyboard!
