Not all auction houses charge the seller. My last job one of the vehicle auction places we used only charged commission to the buyer. Only one out of about half a dozen, though.

Barry, Happy would be in her element rooting around our garage!

P.S what's wrong with Fiona Bruce?
Her politics - at times she is not exactly impartial or neutral, particularly when hosting Question Time. (Not that has anything to do with the Antiques Road Show.)

Anyway, I still prefer to watch the Repair Shop, where I can marvel at the skill and care taken by the restoration team.

I haven't really watched question time since David Dimbleby used to host it, does she tend to side with guests on the left or the right? My natural assumption would be the BBC would be a bit left of centre and woke, but FB always struck me as quite plain speaking so I wouldn't have put her quite there.

Ah I see... I'm not really into politics, and don't watch Question Time, so couldn't judge her on that.

I also like the Repair Shop, for the reasons you state. That guy who does the clocks and watches is amazing!

15C and partially cloudy. Only expected to reach 23C today.

The rain that was forecast yesterday didn't materialise - where is it all going? Not here, that's for certain.

We got some rain last night, but not enough to fix the lawn. Hopefully we'll get more today.

A coolish 16°C this morning, but that suits me fine.
