Now that I like and could use. Monoblock amplifiers with balanced line input, a preamplifier with a balanced-line input and balanced outputs. Excellent!

Ideally there would be another balanced-line input, but you can't have everything.

In this ever-changing world it's nice to know that whatever the decade or whatever the fashion Denon products will always be gorgeously brutalist and chunky.

Not ebay but always fancied some of these - a lot of speaker for £1500

    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC-15.

Looks like good value for an aluminium cabinet speaker with AMT drivers. Not new by any means but I bet they sound pretty good based on what the Piega 611 does at around £15K.

They would cost around £9.5K now inflation adjusted.

I picked up one of these a few years ago as back-up when my Avondale Monos needed time off for servicing. The XXVIII is part of the range after John Farlowe left Exposure so it doesn't have the same fan club. From what I've found it's a refined version of the Super XVIII. I'm not sure where else you'd find quality dual mono amplification with such dynamics and warmth for £400-odd.

This won't be around for long. Original US Robert Ludwig Led Zep II supposedly in 'VG+' playing condition.

Been offered to me at £3301.30, a deal to be had if anyone's interested, collection only might hold it back, but then again if anyone's really interested I'm sure they'll want to collect it anyway.

It's in Brum so fairly central to anyone except those in Scotland.

Yes, that is a good price for an EMT 938. Unlike someone in the UK who has a Linn LP12 for sale on eBay for £50,0000!

When I started this thread over twenty years ago, perhaps I should have finished the title with "(?)".
