Darn, that's done it now Robin . . . . heads off towards the Lagavulin

Yup, I'd put Lagavulin first for Islay malts then Ardbeg - quite partial to an Uigeadail as well as the 10 YO

Yes, Ardbeg and Laphroaig would be on my list.

I realised I made a mistake in stating Lagavulin as being my favourite whisky. I actually meant Laphroaig to be my favourite Islay whisky. But I do like Lagavulin, but for me Laphroaig nudges it into second place.

I also like Auchentoshan triple distilled whisky, as well as Aberlour, Glenmorangie and Glenfiddich.

Sadly I can only afford to buy one bottle at a time.

There are some good Ardbegs and Laphroaigs which I also enjoy, one or two which can be found in your local supermarket at 40% ABV not so good.

Aberlour, Glenmorangie and Glenfiddich, the last two are among the big sellers in Malt Whisky and are always very drinkable, Auchentoshan, been to the distillery as its quite close to me and has just had a re-branding.

A few years ago, I decided to improve my knowledge of whisky which has been fun and not cheap at times and as such mainly enjoy Malts that are without added colour and are not chill filtered.
    Regards
    Robin
