Agree with Barry, 'At The Sands' is the best one, with the other two as runner-ups.

    Sinatra At The Sands
    Frank Sinatra
    1966

I have heard this before and listening to it again now . . . not sure why I don't have it

    But I will have soon.

    EDIT:
I remember why it's not in my collection now . . . for me it's a one time listen or a very occasional one because of all the talking. Really captures the flavour of an evening with him, but not something I'd put on to relax to when I fancy some Sinatra. Top 3 though, but In the Wee Small Hours is still my favourite.

Some people have no idea what they're doing and a lot of them are really good at it.

Agree with you about the chat. That is why I play my CD copy rather than the LP, so I can skip the talking bits with the remote.

Excellent choice Tim. I have over 35 of his recordings, and have heard him play on a few occasions, so it is sometimes difficult to choose what to play.

Ooo, you've beaten me there Barry, I only have 17 - I saw the film Köln 75 this afternoon, outstanding cinema and very, very different to a standard Hollywood music biopic. 5 stars from me.

Some EMT turntable porn in the film too . . . or certainly looked like EMT to my untrained eye.

There are no EMT turntables shown in the trailer, but the camera is a Leica M3, which is my favourite camera; having used mine on my travels all over the world.

Will have to see the film sometime. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

Is that not an EMT on the left?

Yes, both of them are EMT 930 decks. Not quite sure of the reel-to-reel machine but it looks like a Studer C37.
