Bad boy JBLs playing really quite loudly when I was in there.

Look a bit like the old Everest DD67000 with extra drivers. I always thought the 67000 was too harsh, and there was some of that in there.

Also, the horn's dispersion versus the dynamic driver's behaviour means there is quite an obvious change of character i.e. you know there's a difference in the way the top of the speaker behaves and emanates sound versus the bottom.

Hybrid tech. Very difficult to make work well.

The total opposite of a dull speaker, though. Fun at volume with great scale if you can cope with the mid range aggression.
