There must be a dozen or so versions of DSOTM. EMI cynically producing yet another remaster of what must be one of their best selling titles. I can't say I've heard them all - I haven't, but of those I have heard, the best version IMO is the 20th anniversary edition ( the one that comes in a box with a few useless CD-sized photo cards inside).Cool I only have it on vinyl so not listened to it in years.
Seeing as it's all about PF today stuck this one which also not heard in years. First album I ever heard via CD - 1986. Although this is the 92 remaster

That's not the version I have but the one I have is the same master as that one with the cards. Doug Sax I think, supposedly approved by the band.

Yup, I've got 9 of them . . . it's quite embarrassing really, but it made such an impact on me as teenager, it became an obsession. I probably can't tell the difference now, I used to be able to pick out the MFSL one and the Japanese Black Triangle - probably can't now.
