I just read some of that thread Steve, an interesting read. The subject of an LP12 always manages to ruffle feathers and over the years I've read far more negative than positive comments.
Post #43 sums it up for me, as that period was when I developed my love for music - back then all I could afford was a Pioneer PL-12D.
That's bang on, it's an object of desire and a bit of a lifestyle product."I think for anyone who discovered a love of music during the 70s / 80s the LP12 will always be an object of desire. I have never owned one and would like to even now even though I have owned TTs that I'm sure would eat it for breakfast. It's just a very nice thing".
