I dislike when the cover artwork for an LP is changed. Sometimes this is done for reasons of cost, or perhaps because the original artwork was considered too risqué.

A good example is the cover of Soft Machine's debut album. The original was a gatefold sleeve with cut out windows through which a circular insert could be rotated like a piece of clockwork. The second 'modification' was the censorship of the naked model sporting a large key in her back - she is a 'soft machine', shown on the inside of the gatefold as well as on the rear. You only see her from the behind, but to satisfy prudish American sensibilities, a black bikini was crudely printed on her for the American market.

An example of a "censored" sleeve:

Eiiher way, I think it's a brilliant album, but it is definitely very 80's, Martin!
I had always thought that calling her first album "The First album" was rather presumptuous.

Having learnt of the sad death of Dave Mason today, I'm now playing Traffic's debut LP 'Mr Fantasy'.

This could be someone you might enjoy Alex_UK. Newish artist with just one album from NYC. I'm a big Jim Jarmusch fan (filmmaker) who you might now, he likes her too. Badass is a very good description.

Grace Bergere is a real rocknroll guitar slinger extraordinaire, songwriter par excellence, a badass and a sweetheart. What more can you ask for? Yeah, I’m a fan - Jim Jarmusch
