    We got proper fog where I lived out in the bushes when I was at university. You could see it coming through the gaps in the window frames like smoke. Visibility would be about 10 feet. When you opened the front door it would billow in.

    Never seen the like before or since except in horror films.

    They were concrete and breeze-block shacks knocked up for ten bob just to stick students in, I don't think they were awarded the Kite Mark.

    Windows were wooden frames. Makes me wonder now if they've replaced them with proper ones. It has been 35 years.

    Windows will have been changed by now, but not sure exactly when - in what year did students first become poxy? There is probably some correlation between draughtiness and poxiness.

    Fog still not lifted here. 13c though, so at least it’s not freezing.
