Recorded around the same time as Rock 'n' Roll Animal, but drawing from his Transformer and Berlin albums, where the former is more VU material.

I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: KEF Reference 3, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Arcam A75 integrated, Monitor Audio R852 MD speakers
    A/V:
LG OLED65 G56LS, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL T9i sub.

I agree with you regarding 'Rock N Roll Animal' being "more VU", not surprising as 5 of the 7 tracks are taken from VU albums.

Of the two albums 'Transformer' and 'Berlin', I much prefer Transformer.

That is my opinion too. I do also have 'Tusk', which I only played once. Says it all really. I've never heard 'Tango on the Night', and I'm in no hurry.

I have a copy of 'Tusk', and like you have only played it once. There is only one track on it that I like and that is the title track: Tusk.

'Tango in the Night' is better, but not essential.
