Fished this out of a box in the under bed drawer this morning - fake, of course, and hasn’t seen the light of day in at least 25 years. Wound it up, and to my surprise it works - still going strong now, and still keeping the right time!

    Unusual colour on that one.

I need a good day today, a winner needs a Winner watch!

Bit naff really, but matches my light blue suit.

I only just realised it has a second hand, and a separate second dial, what’s the point of that?

Ha, ha, so it wasn’t even real! (I don’t remember the film, but I am sure I remember that scene.) wonder how much it went for in the end?

Yes just a fake. And it doesn't even work.

Film is available on ITV X so might put it on a bit later.

Meanwhile, got back home and two deliveries. I decided I wanted to buy another watch, have ended up buying 6! Well, if they all get here - 2 still to come from India and one from USA.

First up, it appears to be a genuine Roamer movement, but clearly the rest is a “frankenwatch” and I don’t care one bit, really like it, and goes even better with the blue suit!

    Default Anyone keen on watches?

And my second delivery, a Seiko 5. For some reason I thought Seiko’s are a lot more expensive than they are new, but having done a lot of searching and googling I really fancied something “vintage”- well, 20th century. I have decoded the serial numbers and it is either December 76, 86, or 96 - my money is on 86. Advertised on Vinted for only £60 and described as “looks like new” and whilst that’s a little OTT, it certainly is exceedingly good condition for a watch at least 30 years old. I remember commenting on one of Roy’s watches that I liked the 24 hours, so a “Railway time” Seiko seemed a good idea. I absolutely love it! Problem is, despite 4 other watches in transit (stay tuned for when they arrive!) I now want more vintage Seikos…. Oh dear, as Roy says, more addictive than hi-if!
