Similar with me Mike, this last 24 months or so. Though I do play CDs often, largely out of laziness.
You know, in my teens I only had 40 or so records, and I knew them all inside out and back to front. Because they were played so often. We all know that often the best, most enduring titles in our collections didn't immediately impress, but were 'slow growers'. Fast forward 50 years, and I no longer have the patience or the time to stick with something that doesn't immediately impress.
As I get older, I feel like each listening session forms an ever-increasing percentage of the time I have left, and I think this influences my choices.God, someone stop me, I'm depressing myself! In truth, a lot of it is that Anita isn't a big fan of much of my music choices, and is more for films/TV, so most of my listening happens when she is out of the house

I would definitely recommend picking up any of her CDs if you see them cheap.Had a poke round Wikipedia this morning, where I read that her brother Rollo (founding member of Faithless) co-wrote and co-produced much of her first three albums. So there's that. I think I may have been avoiding her albums because they are so numerous at the car boot sales and charity shops (only beaten by Robbie Williams) which sort of devalued them in my mind.
I see also she provided vocals for 'Feels like Fire', from Santana's 2002 album 'Shaman'. Turns out that album is on my shelves, but I have no memory of playing itI should stop buying CDs and give more attention to what is already here.
