I've never heard DM2a speakers, no doubt they sound fantastic, and definitely no shortage of quality bass 
The only reason really to get a sub would be to enable using smaller speakers, esp. if space is at a premium. But I think you'd be spending a fortune to better what you already have.
To digress slightly, I'm tempted by these Wiim amps myself (probably the 'pro' version which isn't a lot dearer), but I was wondering if it would be ok to be left on 24/7 (I need it to be ok with that), and I know opinions are divided on this. What do you think?
