Or maybe it's just me. Maybe I just relax into the music when not thinking about speaker placement, VTA, room acoustics, or whether changing the cartridge was a good idea...

I'm onaplain.
Their first three albums have a combination of sounds that I find really attractive: metronomic snare, skittering guitar, bass string attack and sweet-as-nectar keyboard. I seem to recall Martin Rushent produced them. Even the songs that I don't like are really appealing to listen to.
