They stopped them using aliens in adverts I think. Like with the PG Tips chimps it was exploitation.

You're forgetting that some of them were astronauts - I doubt that's a minimum wage job, although to be fair I don't think it has been a gig for chimps for a few decades now and I doubt the pension was that good.
