Think the Bliss functions as a pre as well?
Just to a lesser extent than the Serene.

Better HPA though, it being secondary with the Serene.
Ok with not having it on Betamax nowadays

Looks like a very logical step for your next preamp Gary. Seriously well thought out preamp and very high specs. I expect it is very clean and transparent.

Wish Holo Audio would bring out a power amp!

    Yeah!
    Maybe they will, who knows?

Not looking to move from the big Meridian 557 though, enough grunt to tow a tank.
Neutral and as clear as a bell too.
Mines was recapped not that long ago, so plenty of life left.

If anything it'd be a speaker upgrade at this point, ATC's mibbay?
But thats years down the line, if at all.

After a bit of time now,
some 'many several' burn in hours on the new Holo May KTE Dac?

Like Rutger Hauer at the end of Blade Runner?
    'I've SEEN things.... "

Digital music can still Shock you.
    Genuinely.

This is my Endgame, anyone financially sane's really?
Diminishing returns is a real thing, an MSB Dac (or the like) is 10% better but 250% more expensive.

    Took a major punt,
    The reviews helped.

    Happy with my Choice.

Great it’s worked out Gary. I am sure the May KTE can produce some awesome results if my Cyan 2 is anything to go by which is apparently 75-80% the performance of the May DAC.

I too have been gobsmacked by what I have heard from some digital material which has far exceeded expectations and far exceeded anything I have heard from my analog rig. Holo Audio really do seem to have found the magic formula and unleashed maybe the full potential from digital audio?

Excellent to read Gaz, there is much truth in your post, the realistic fiscal ceiling particularly.

I shudder a bit when I thing how much I have spent on hi-fi (paramotoring and leisure vehicles as well ), but life is for living.
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

Out of interest, how much of your final 2019 system is still in place?

I would love to try the Holo DAC, but I need to fit a new liner in my pool next year, so HiFi funds will be limited.

I estimate I have spent around £80K on audio gear; most of which I still have.

I have probably spent a similar amount on travelling around the world.

But as you say 'life is for living'. And 'you can't take it with you'.
