Tash Sultana - Terra Firma (2021)

Very talented Australian multi-instrumentalist - written played, recorded and produced by her in its entirety, much more mellow than her earlier stuff and just right to round off a Sunday evening.

Couple of crackers there, Mike. Too late for anything that raucous, so this one to end the evening:

The Cinematic Orchestra - The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos (Soundtrack) (2008)

I had it in my head that The Cinematic Orchestra "accidentally" got given this project for a French Disney documentary about, um, flamingos, because of their name. I'm not sure if that is entirely correct, but according to Wikipedia, Imogen Heap was due to do it, but pulled out at the last minute and it passed on to The Cinematic Orchestra...

Whatever, it's a magnificent soundtrack in my opinion, well worth a listen, and the documentary isn't a bad watch either, narrated for the UK version by Mariella Frostrup.

Mariella Frostrup still has a sexy-sounding voice.

Oh yes, Mariella I wonder if I can get her on my Sat Nav? If not, Susan Saint James would do.

Layo and Bushwacka! in the house (again). And another winner imo. Wish I'd come across them 20 years ago, I bet their live sets would have been right up my street. Still these albums are giving me a flavour, and another one just been ordered
