While the mastering quality and dynamic range, as well as several 'hifi' atributes may be measurable and beyond dispute, it won't be a 'one size fits all'. Everyone's hearing and priorities differ, and certain albums will will play better to a particular system's strengths better than others.
Of the list I would be interested in the Pat Metheny, Donald Fagen and Hans Zimmer ones, and Yello 'Point has been on my radar for some time. I already have seven of the albums listed, not all of which get much play - good SQ is of no consequence if the music doesn't do it for you.

One I've had for about 15 years, and never gave it a fair crack - I think maybe I should now. There was another album came out at the same time called 'Black Light', which I never got round to buying. My assumption was it was probably similar but darker.
