I'll leave you and Alex to 'slug it out'.

I'm always amazed by the variation in taste of music lovers.
For example, I utterly detest anything by Genesis, but I'm in a tiny, tiny minority.

It takes all sorts: suum cuique, de gustibus non disputandem. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Never seen the attraction with Genesis either but don't feel the need to switch them off when they come on the radio. Even though some of the later stuff ('Invisible Touch') is truly awful.

Lots of bands I'm not into but only a few I actively hate. I have to switch The Smiths off too - can't abide his voice for even one second.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC-15.

There are no bands, at all, that I dislike so intensely that I would need to do that, not even Nick Drake.

Not a fan of The Smiths either, though I do have "Hatful of Hollow", only because I really like "How Soon is Now". Oh shit, I have "The Queen is Dead" too, where did that come from?

Kanye West. Not so much to do with the music, or even that his name makes me think of a Motorway services, but just that he is a total dick.

It's not a motorway services? I thought it was on the M6 somewhere past Hilton Park.

I'm indifferent about The Smiths, but I simply cannot stand the sound of Tom Waites's voice. The sound of all that gurgling phlegm in his throat makes me feel sick.

But listing acts and performers none of us like is not going to be especially useful.

What's wrong with Nick Drake? IMO, his singing voice is quite anodyne and inoffensive.
