I'm definitely filling in the tea drinking gap left by Grant's sad passing since I stopped smoking I think I'm on 10 a day now.

I'm on about that and I haven't stopped smoking.

You might as well give up the smokes just get a load of food and (soft)drink in and don't leave the house for a week or 10 days, the nicotine should have left your body by then you'll be amazed how much better you feel, mentally and physically.

That's one way to look at it. Another is that a twenty-a-day smoker could save enough for a £5k upgrade to his kit each year. Get some nice speakers for £5k. I get my ciggies at half price and burn through about 12 a day, but it's still a lot of money.

Bear in mind more people now roll their own as prices have got so high. So more like a £1k upgrade (depending on how many you smoke and how thick you make them, I used to make "prison rollies" so a small pack would last a week.

You are quite correct, another thing is that the hassle of rolling them (though it does quickly become second nature) makes you smoke less than with ready-mades. Good luck with your continued abstinence Lawrence

Not going to quit but will cut down by 50 percent.

Using filters could reduce the amount of tobacco used by about 15% or so. Some saving to be made there, depending on how much filters cost.
