Hence the tank-top I suppose. Easier to put on even when it's frozen solid.

I shouldn’t have enjoyed this as much as I did, a bit silly not very realistic but thoroughly entertaining.

As shown on TV last night: "What's Love Got to Do with It", a drama documentary about the career of Anna Mae Bullock known as Tina Turner and her dominating and abusive partner Ike Turner.

Angela Bassett who plays Tina Turner is excellent, as is Lawrence Fishbourne who plays Ike.

And because I watched Renegades, Amazon suggested this - Ian Ogilvy again, and practically the same movie, but still enjoyed it.

Finally setup AppleTV+ as I have wanted to watch this since it was first announced years ago. (I loved Band of Brothers, and am also very interested in the history of the 8th, particularly as I live only a few miles from several US airfields, including Thorpe Abbotts where this is set.)

One episode so far, and it is awesome, stunning visually and really thought provoking about what it was really like for those brave boys.

'Band Of Brothers' is outstanding. One of the best things ever done.

I agree, have it on DVD but not watched in at least a decade, but looks like it is available to stream on Apple in HD, so will be watching that again too, as well as The Pacific, which is also Spielberg/Hanks, but passed me by at the time.

I ended up watching the first 4 episodes of Masters of the Air - really good, would highly recommend if this is your type of thing.

It is my sort of thing but I don't have Apple subscription.

I can't remember if I watched 'The Pacific' or not. That's bad isn't it?

Band Of Brothers I watched first time round on 'live to air' TV and I've got the box set and have watched that through at least twice. The golden age of TV which we aren't going to see the likes of again I don't think.

Currently working through the 162 episodes of the original 'Magnum P.I'

If you have a compatible device(s), 7 day trial for Apple TV for free, which is what I was intending to do and binge watch this, but then there are a load of other things I have already decided I want to watch, so I guess it will go past the week - £8.99 per month, no contract so you can cancel when you want.
