The last truly great time in British pop music, apart from the techno/dance music revolution. Another classic by Prefab Sprout in my 'top five most memorable 80s records'They were all my favourite bands; I really did love em all and, to pick a favourite, really would be difficult. I'd have to say Duran Duran, Ultravox, The Human League, Soft Cell and Depeche Mode would be right at the top end of the list. Also, Flock Of Seaguls and Heaven 17 (Penthouse & Pavement is a great album). Oh, and not forgetting ABC (the first album is soooooo good and also Alphabet City).

I notice the ones you've listed are singles from bands rather than the bands themselves; another difficult choice would be to pick my top ten singles from that era.............. REALLY DIFFICULT!!! Suffice to say Ultravox - Vienna would be in there!!!
